I’m Farhad Khan, a 3x founder and CEO at Member Lounge, where we help professional associations build better digital experiences for their members.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked with hundreds of associations across North America, and what I keep seeing is the same gap: great communities held back by platforms that weren’t built with them in mind. That’s the problem I’ve spent my career solving.

Association leaders are some of the most underestimated operators I know. They’re managing communities of thousands, often with lean teams and legacy tools, and still showing up every day trying to make membership feel meaningful. I built Member Lounge to make that easier.

Beyond the product work, I’ve spoken at over 100 webinars and events, hosted The Member Lounge Podcast, and serve on the ForesightWorks committee at ASAE and the Founder Council at Invest Ottawa. I believe the best thing you can do with experience is share it.

Right now I’m spending a lot of time on AI, specifically how associations can use it to make member engagement more personal, more responsive, and more human.

In the strongest communities I’ve seen, everyone shows up, including the CEO. Showing up is what builds long-term trust. It tells your members: you matter, I’m here.
